Maria Gorlatova and Jiasi Chen participate in the 2013 MIT Rising Stars in EECS Workshop

EnHants project contributors Maria Gorlatova and Jiasi Chen were among the top 40 female graduate students and postdoctoral scholars invited to participate in the 2013 MIT Rising Stars in EECS, the annual workshop that brings together top women in EECS for two days of scientific discussions and informal sessions aimed at navigating early stages of the academic career.
During the workshop, held in MIT in early November 2013, Maria presented a poster titled "Energy Harvesting Active Networked Tags (EnHANTs) for Ubiquitous Object Networking". Jiasi, who is currently a Ph.D. student at Princeton University, presented a poster on her current research titled "Quota-Aware Video Adaptation". Jiasi was involved in the EnHANTs project in 2009 and 2010, when she was doing undergraduate research under the supervision of Prof. Peter Kinget.
